Stone Harbor Beaches are open and guarded from 10 AM to 5 PM daily between the last week of May and the first week of September. Beach tags must be worn by all beach visitors, 12 years and older. Effective last week of May, beach tags are as follows: preseason (purchased before May 31) $19, season (purchased after May 31) $24, weekly (Saturday through Saturday) $12 and daily $6. Tags may be purchased from the Beach Tag Office (95th St. & Beach) or from a Beach Tag Inspector anytime during the season.
We ask that you refrain from any action likely to impair the welfare of others. Alcoholic beverages, glass containers, picnics, pets and hardball are strictly prohibited. These regulations are for your protection and safety. Please cooperate with the instructions of your lifeguards and beach inspectors.
Bathing and swimming are permitted only at protected beaches where lifeguards are on duty 10 AM to 5 PM, last weekend of May through the first weekend in September. Use of rafts, surf boards, and catamarans are permitted only at designated beaches. Protected Beaches: 81st, 83rd, 86th, 87th, 90th, 94th, 95th, 96th, 100th, 103rd, 105th, 108th, 110th, 116th, 117th, and 120th Streets
Rafting Beaches: 83rd, 87th, 94th, 96th, 100th, 108th, and 117th Street
Surfing Beaches: 81st & 110th Streets
Kayaks: 122nd - 126th Streets
A boat launching ramp is located at 81st St. and the Bay and is available seven (7) days a week. See attendant for launching fees and regulations
